From the other people’s stories, freelancers are the ones who can travel when they want. They don’t have a boss watching their every step. It is a misconception because some things are cons to being a freelancer.
It is not very bad, but we should know everything that comes when you are your boss.

Some of the cons while being a freelancer and not working from 9 to 5:

  • Sometimes it can be so lonely. You are working from home and don’t have the benefit of chatting with other people as you would if you worked in a company.
  • Separating work from personal life. It would be best to decide how many hours you will work daily to avoid being lost in everyday work and forgetting about your free time.
  • Sometimes you can be money greedy. You see everything as an opportunity to make money but need to know when to stop.
  • You are your boss, HR, IT, and other stuff. When you work as a freelancer, you don’t have the benefit of someone else negotiating for the project or communicating with a client if there is a problem. You will be the one that must solve that.
  • There is no secure income. You will not have a secure income if you are not available to work as you would if you work in a company 9 to 5.
